Privacy Policy

TruckLedger is a local-first iOS application that does not require registration or a user account. Your operational and financial records remain on your device, while limited technical and pseudonymous telemetry is processed by Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. This policy explains the difference between those categories and also describes data associated with this informational website.

The information you enter in TruckLedger is stored locally in the app's private container on your device. This includes: • trips and routes; • income and expenses; • trucks and maintenance records; • receipts, photos, and documents; • notes, clients, and cargo information. TruckLedger does not operate a server to which these financial or operational records are uploaded. You remain responsible for your device, local records, exports, and backups.

The production app uses Firebase Analytics to understand whether screens and features work as expected, and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and improve stability. TruckLedger sends only predefined technical events, such as screen views, feature use, whether an action succeeded or failed, the type of action, Pro status, and the source from which a paywall was opened. Firebase may also automatically process technical and pseudonymous data, including an app installation identifier, device model, iOS version, app version, session information, usage events, and diagnostic data. Crashlytics may process stack traces, relevant application state at the time of a crash, device and operating-system information, installation identifiers, and breadcrumb events that occurred before a crash. We do not describe these data as fully anonymous because installation identifiers and similar technical identifiers may distinguish one app installation from another.

TruckLedger does not intentionally send the following information to Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or TruckLedger servers: • income or expense amounts; • client names; • routes or addresses; • note contents; • receipt photos or other images; • recognized receipt text; • documents or cargo details. The app does not show advertising, sell personal data, or use app data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. No email address or account profile is required to use the iOS app.

TruckLedger requests camera or photo-library access only when you choose a feature that needs it, such as capturing or selecting a receipt. Receipt recognition is performed on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Receipt images and recognized text are not sent to Firebase or TruckLedger servers. You can review or change camera and photo permissions in iOS Settings.

If iCloud Backup is enabled for your device and TruckLedger is included in the backup, local app data may be stored in your personal iCloud backup. Apple controls that service under your Apple account and settings. TruckLedger cannot view or retrieve your iCloud backup. You can manage iCloud Backup in iOS Settings.

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. TruckLedger does not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details. Firebase Analytics may measure technical purchase and subscription events, including product identifiers, purchase status, subscription tier, and Pro status. Apple handles transaction and payment information according to its own policies.

truckledger.pro is an informational website hosted by Vercel. Standard hosting and security logs may temporarily include an IP address, user agent, request time, and requested page. The website also uses Vercel Web Analytics, separately from the Firebase telemetry in the mobile app. Vercel Web Analytics processes page views and aggregated technical information such as page URL, referrer, approximate region, browser, operating system, and device type. It does not receive the local operational or financial records stored in the TruckLedger app.

TruckLedger relies on Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for mobile telemetry, Apple for iCloud Backup and App Store purchases, and Vercel for website hosting and web analytics. These providers process data under their own terms, configurations, and privacy policies. Their documentation is linked below.

Local app data remains on your device until you delete individual records, erase the app's data, or remove the app, subject to any copies you create or backups controlled through your Apple account. Retention periods for Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Vercel logs, and Vercel Web Analytics depend on the applicable project settings and provider policies. We do not promise a specific period where it has not been confirmed by those settings. Apple controls retention for App Store transactions and your personal iCloud backups.

You can edit or delete local records in the app, delete the app and its local data, manage camera and photo access in iOS Settings, control whether TruckLedger is included in iCloud Backup, and manage purchases or subscriptions through your Apple account. The current production version does not provide a separate in-app switch for Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics. Contact us if you have a privacy question about technical telemetry.

TruckLedger uses the protections provided by iOS for its local app container and limits analytics parameters to a predefined technical vocabulary. Data sent to service providers is protected in transit using the security measures offered by those providers. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. You should protect access to your device, keep iOS up to date, and manage your own exports and backups carefully.

TruckLedger is intended for truck drivers, owner-operators, and other business users and is not directed to children under 13 or any higher minimum age required in their jurisdiction. We do not ask users to provide their age or create an account. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review the issue.

Firebase, Apple, and Vercel operate internationally. Technical data handled by these providers may be processed in countries other than the country where you live, subject to their infrastructure, terms, safeguards, and privacy policies. Local app records are not transferred to TruckLedger servers as part of this processing.

We may update this policy when TruckLedger, its service providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the date above. Where appropriate, we may also provide notice in the app or through another reasonable channel.
